Our Mission & Team

Branch Church Missions exists to support missionaries pastorally, financially, and administratively and equip new missionaries to be sent out. There are many ways to get involved! You can contact our office at [email protected] for specifics to the following categories:

  • Administratively help plan an upcoming mission trip
  • Administratively organize stateside support for a current missionary
  • Financially support a missionary so they can continue to live in a foreign country and do ministry (ongoing monthly support & special items needed for ministry)

William & Lily Silverthorn

In 2009, William and Lily Silverthorn retired and created LAMA Ministry , a charity which focuses on helping the people of Peru, Lily’s home country. This was initiated after a very devastating earthquake in 2007. They have been making outreach trips every year since 2008, creating LAMA as a 501c3 charity in 2009.

After initially having many legal, engineering, and planning meetings about developing the mission in the early years, they opened a planted church and childrens ministry in 2013. Today (2023) they have an active Mission, 2 building campus, with a small farm close by and are engaged in 6 unique villages helping a large number of needy families with a volunteer staff of 10+ individuals. 5 years ago, in 2018, they added a Discipleship school in partnership with University of the Nations (YWAM) and have been attracting young missionaries to assist. All of the above is to focus on the great Commission in this area of need, prayerfully to turn these needy people into disciples of Jesus.
